Applications are now being accepted for the Wayne Morse Center's academic year 2019-2020 Project Grant, Resident Scholar, and Graduate Research Fellow programs. 

Resident Scholars
This grant supports two UO tenured or tenure-track faculty in research related to the center's 2019-21 theme of inquiry, Science, Policy, and the Public, or significant political and policy issues in the United States at the national, state, and local levels, as well as global affairs.. Resident Scholars conduct research or other professional activities that contribute to the scholar’s own work and the Wayne Morse Center’s programs. Resident Scholars receive $8,000 plus OPE up to 30 percent; Resident Scholars from the School of Law receive a stipend of $10,000 plus up to 30 percent for OPE. Applications for the 2019-20 academic year are due on Monday, January 7, 2019, by 5 p.m.

Graduate Research Fellows
The Wayne Morse Graduate Research Fellows program offers three $3,000 stipends to support graduate student research on the center’s 2019-21 theme of inquiry, Science, Policy, and the Public, or significant political and policy issues in the United States at the national, state, and local levels, as well as global affairs. Applications are due on  Monday, January 7, 2019, by 5 p.m.

Project Grants
The Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics awards project grants each year to community organizations, university faculty and departments, and student organizations. Awards are given to projects that foster and support educational events and activities related to the center’s 2019-21 theme of inquiry, Science, Policy, and the Public. Applications are due on Monday, February 25, 2019, by 5 p.m.
