Born in Nepal and adopted when she was three, Kiran grew up in Portland and is majoring in environmental and ethnic studies and minoring in legal studies at UO. Kiran is obsessed with dogs, having memorized more than 200 breeds in second grade, and has a pup who is a border collie/Chinese crested hairless/cocker spaniel mix. In her free time, she likes to read nonfiction books, especially about the prison system, go on walks, and explore new parts of Oregon.
