Alex was raised in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a double major in Religious Studies and History. Since beginning law school Alex has been heavily involved with the Native American Law Student Association acting first as the organizations 1L Representative, as the treasurer in his 2L year, and will be serving as the organizations Director in his 3L year. In addition to his work as a Wayne Morse Fellow Alex is a Fellow for the Native Environmental Sovereignty Project. Alex is passionate about protecting and promoting tribal sovereignty and works to promote the study and practice of Indian law amongst his peers.
