2022-23 Law Fellow Application

The Wayne Morse Center is offering five full-time, ten-week paid fellowships in summer 2022. They will likely be a mix of remote and in-person work.

  • Wayne Morse Legal Fellow in Senator Wyden’s Washington, D.C., office - $8,750 (See Symplicity Job #34001.)
  • Wayne Morse Legal Fellow in Congresswoman Bonamici’s Washington, D.C., office - $8,250 (See Symplicity Job #33905.)
  • Wayne Morse Environmental Law Fellow at Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in Salem - $5,500 (See Symplicity Job #33876.)
  • David Schuman Legal Justice Fellow at Oregon Justice Resource Center’s Civil Rights Project in Portland - $5,500  (See Symplicity Job #33995.) 
    Note: Many of OJRC’s clients have experienced trauma as well as abuse by the system. The Fellow will encounter subject matter that may be difficult to hear and process.
  • Wayne Morse Legal Fellow at the Northwest Workers’ Justice Project in Portland - $5,500 (See Symplicity Job #34100.) 
    Note: Students with strong written and spoken Spanish language skills are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply: Upload a cover letter, resume (including your non-UO email address), UO Law transcript, and list of three references for approval through Symplicity Documents by 5 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022. After documents are approved by Career Center staff, apply through Symplicity by 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

Interviews of selected applicants will be held via Zoom on the following dates:

  • Fellowship in Senator Wyden’s office: Thursday, Feb. 3
  • Fellowship in Rep. Bonamici's office: Wednesday, Feb. 9 between 1 and 2:15 pm 
  • Fellowship at Northwest Workers Justice Project: Wednesday, Feb 9 between 2:45 and 4 pm
  • Fellowship at Oregon Justice Resource Center: Thursday, Feb. 10 between 9 and 10:15 am
  • Fellowship at Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife: Thursday, Feb. 10 between 10:40 and 11:50 am
