A conversation between Diane Ravitch and Yong Zhao

Diane Ravitch is a leading critic of excessive standardized tests and their use in advancing the privatizing of public education. A prominent former testing proponent, she now researches and details the damage done to public education through corporatization, privatization and standardization.

Yong Zhao is an international scholar and critic of the “educational corporate reform” movement and author of Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Dragon, which focuses on parallels between China’s hierarchical education system and the United States’ current path. He is the former director of UO Institute for Global and Online Education.
